PLAY MOUNTAIN PLACE was founded by my mother Phyllis Fleishman (right, left) as Modern Playschool in 1949 at 6063 Hargis Street, Los Angeles. It is the oldest "free" school in California, based on the work of A.S.Neill with help from Carl Rogers and others. I have lived at the school for 39 years, first in the main house as a child growing up until I graduated from college in 1970 and I have lived in another house on the grounds since 1979. I credit my mother and father and my unique association with the school and its form of education for my creative abilities. | |

Conclusion Although I know from experience that I don't take aggressive action in this direction, I want it to be clear that I intend for the licensing of my designs to fuel my future efforts. The projects are getting bigger, I'm getting older and we have to hurry. Work remains, but the results are something we can look forward to. |
